I have no words to describe the feelings I have every time I walk through Rome!
Rome is my hometown, or better I grew up in a town 15 km from Rome, I could go there whenever I wanted to. Now that I live in London I try to go for a walk in the eternal city every time I am back! It is time well spent! It is so worthy to get lost in the tons of streets, churches, monuments and ruins in Rome...it is like getting lost inside history! So I take the train, stop at Termini station, grab a coffee and start wondering around. Sometimes I do have a planned destination, some other times I just start walking randomly in the middle of the little-streets maze of central Rome. Of course, if you love photography like I do, this is a great occasion to take some good pictures as you can see below. This time I woke up early to avoid the heat wave and see the city with a different light. I have reached the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Altare della Patria and Parco degli acquedotti.
I had a quite a short time in Rome and I have only been to the classic sightseeing points, but please contact me if you are planning to visit Rome and you'd like some advice and explore "as a local"! :)
